Wednesday—Good For You, Good For Your Camera

Check out this great little camera case!

Elegant Laurel DSLR camera bag for
Panasonic Lumix & other small cameras

Alright, so I'm about to head out to the Photoshop World conference in Orlando next week, and I needed a carrying case for my Panasonic Lumix camera gear.

It had to be compact enough to fit into my underseat duffle and have room for an extra lens, an extra battery, an extra memory card, plus the USB cable.  I'm picky about straps and handles, so I needed a case that was convenient, easily accessible, and bright enough to be easily identifiable among a sea of black equipment bags at a photography conference.  And, cheap.  It had to be under $25.

So, here it is!  I got it off of Amazon for $21.99 (unfortunately not on Prime).  After shipping + sales tax, my total was $31.

First of all, it comes in 8 really cool colors:  black, hot pink, lime, royal blue, orange, red, sky blue, and steel gray.

I'll need to wrap my second lens in bubble wrap for the trip, but it is roomy enough in the main compartment to fit my cam plus two micro 4/3 lenses.

There are two zippers on the front compartment that zip back on both sides, so it's easy to get into.  The back compartment has one zipper that zips all the way down the back on one side.  All of the zipper handles are metal and seem to be of good quality.  The shoulder strap is comfortable and the case is light-weight.  It has a neat area in the inside back compartment for storing extra batteries, memory cards, cables, and room keys.

This case would work well for any small camera, plus a few accessories (basic extras like batteries, cables, etc.).

It measures:  8" H x 7" W x 4" D

Plastic strap attachments

I can't wait to take it out for a test run!  I'll be taking pix at the hotel and the conference, so stay tuned.
