Monday—The Reading Corner: 52 Book Challenge for 2014

Saw this on my favorite online book club, The Library Thing

Library Thing 2014 Book Challenge
Looking for a fun reading challenge for 2014?

The Library Thing goal is to read 75 books in a year.  I could do that!  That's about 6 or 7 books a month, or 2 a week.  Alright, so maybe I can't do that.  Seriously, who has time to read that many books??!  It won't work with my new normal as trustee of my dad's estate.  A more realistic goal would be...say, 2 or 3 books a month.  Or, a book a week might be doable if they weren't too long.

Alright, so I'm resetting this goal at a book a week, 52 books in a year.  One has to leave time for dancing, after all.

Each week, I will post the book that I've read.  To be fair to the books that start out slow, but end with a bang, I make it a personal rule to finish every book.  I may skim over pages if I start to lose interest...but I finish.

I am addicted to detective novels.  I am currently reading, The Last Coyote, by Michael Connelly, author of The Lincoln Lawyer.
